The Kórima Continues

True Messages was established as a nonprofit platform to continue the projects and share the inspirational Messages of our friend Micah True’s words, life and works to create opportunities in support of the indigenous Raramuri (Tarahumara) peoples of the Sierra Tarahumara.

Our emphasis remains focused on the Message of Kórima. A Raramuri tenet that speaks greatly to the kindness and community focus of the culture. What is mine, is also yours. If it is needed and it is available, it is not ‘given’ as it is already yours. There are no attached expectations because it is as it should be.

Our projects and efforts retain the goals of Norawas de Raramuri, the nonprofit founded by Micah, by supporting the running heritage that remains so important to the Raramuri culture and self identity. We also place great emphasis on the youth of the community, sponsoring cultural education programs and joining in to help encourage an active and healthy lifestyle. Lastly we try to remain prepared and helpful with resources that address special needs as they arise within the Raramuri community.

All monetary donations or profits from any Korima items purchased are used to support these efforts. True Messages is a 501c3 qualified nonprofit and your support is tax deductible.

THE CIRCLE OF SHARING

“Love is love and joy is joy and running is running,”

“Kórima is the circle of sharing,”

“You give something without the expectation of return, just for the act of giving… to act out of love with no attachment to results. To do something for no good reason.”

(Korima) “Is a community effort … it is not sponsored by a corporation. it is sponsored by a philosophy, a concept. By a word. By an idea - and that is sharing, Kórima.”
